• Casinos in Mozambique

The relative scarcity in the numbers of, Mozambique’s casinos is in 1 sense kind of bewildering, in one way or another.

In years before now, the area was a region where a lot of South Africans would drop by to be away from the astonishingly restricting rules on wagering (and, it has to be said, mixing with other races) that they had at home. As a result, you are likely to think of something of a booming area to serve that tourist industry.

Still, perhaps it isn’t all that much of a surprise. The country is truly the most bankrupt over the world, having been through a horrific civil war (followed by crushing floods) from which it is still, very slowly, rebounding. This might make a region less of a vacation location, though there is at this moment a inviting ambiance along some of the state’s outstanding beaches.

It is also credible that regionally at least, Mozambique’s casinos have had to cross with several others in the recently liberalized South Africa, which comprises of the notable Sun City founded by the Kerzner family organization.

Here is a list of Mozambique’s casinos:

    Maputo: Polana Casino Hotel

There are 78 slot machines as well as video poker games, 5 tables of American roulette, 4 blackjack tables, and 1 poker table.

    Namaacha: Sol Libombos Hotel Casino

There are forty slot machines, American roulette, and also 2 tables for poker and punto banco.

It is thought that over time the whole tourism sector in Mozambique will build dramatically. While the local languages are, apparently, African, there is also the remnant of Portuguese from the old colonial power and the new and developing inception of English, both from South Africa and as part of the worldwide phenomenon. The country is quite cheap (obviously, as it is really poor) and as above, has some of the most attractive beaches over the world, fronting onto the Indian Ocean. Those are the sorts of things that make tourism representatives drool, and as the country ascends out of its current slump, it is likely that not only will tourism boost, but that the list of Mozambique’s casinos will grow longer also.

While the country is not expected to ever restore its image as a target for partying South Africans, as there are now other options closer to home for them to engross in, the expansion of a long distance tourism sector is being arranged. This would be to satisfy Europeans looking forward to winter sun, as an escape from the dreariness of the Northern Hemisphere winter. In addition, evidently, the finest prawns (shrimp) on the planet derive from just offshore, in the Mozambique Channel.
